  • Truefire is Marketing a ‘Smart’ Weapon Lock to LEOs for AR-15s
by Dan Zimmerman on September 27, 2021 at 5:00 pm

Here comes another “smart gun” device that wants to disrupt the firearms business and bring fast, reliable safety technology to the masses. Truefire LLC has developed a patented elctronic firearm locking system that’s activated either by fingerprint, RFID, or a mechanical key. Truefire’s lock replaces a standard grip on an AR-15 rifle. The lock disables the rifle via a locking bar that’s positioned behind the trigger, preventing an unauthorized user from pulling it. by Sam Hoober on September 27, 2021 at 11:00 am

Not all that long ago, not knowing how to drive a stick shift was a statistical oddity. Plenty of automatic transmission cars were sold, but just about everyone learned to drive a car with a third pedal. Heck, it was even advantageous to have one; automatic transmissions usually had only three or four gears until the 1990s and a 5-speed manual got you marginally better gas mileage. Then there’s the sheer fun of manually shifting gears. Continue reading Double-Action Semi Auto Pistols Have Become The Manual Transmission Of Handguns at The Truth About Guns.

A proud dad to a three-week old son, I can’t wait for all we’ll do together and places we’ll go. One tradition I’m particularly thrilled to pass on and enjoy together with my boy is hunting and teaching him to shoot. The memories I have of my dad bestowing to his son these sacred lessons have all gained a new gleam and appreciation from me now that I can so easily picture those future opportunities with my son; how to firmly hold and responsibly handle a gun; practicing our aim together on pop cans and hedge balls for 25 cents at home; taking those first pheasant and quail hunting road trips like we did in Kansas with our beloved German Shorthair Pointers.
